Jordan Cox has been rewarded for his recent impressive form with a place in the England T20I squad for their Ireland tour later this month. Cox has been added as the 15th member in the squad that will play three T20Is in Dublin between September 17-21.
The 24-year-old finished as the leading rungetter in the recently concluded Hundred where he was the only player to aggregate over 300 runs. With his side Oval Invincibles winning the title again, Cox was also named the player of the tournament.
He made his debut for England last year in the home series against Australia, featuring in a couple of T20Is and later went to the West Indies where he made his ODI debut. Cox's chances of adding to his caps are bright especially with England opting to rest some of their first choice players for the tour. Young allrounder Jacob Bethell will be in charge of the squad.
