Rishabh Pant has surged to seventh place in the ICC Test batting rankings following his remarkable twin centuries at Headingley. His scores of 134 and 118 make him only the second wicketkeeper in Test history, after Andy Flower, to achieve this feat in both innings of a match. He is also the first Indian wicket-keeper batter to achieve 800 rating points in Test history.

Joe Root maintains his position as the world's No. 1 Test batter, with Harry Brook closely following in second place. India’s Shubman Gill has moved up five places to 20th after his century in the first innings.

The ICC rankings remain the standard for evaluating individual player performance, and every contribution continues to influence cricket's global hierarchy.
